Contrary to common misconceptions, EU citizens are actually quite willing to share the risk of unemployment crises hitting their countries. According to new research by a team of researchers from the University of Amsterdam solidarity among EU citizens is widespread . We are joined by Theresa Kuhn and Brian Burgoon who talk about the concept of solidarity, how to measure support for EU-wide social provisions and what precise policy package garners the most public support.
